Dear Parenthood

Maybe I shouldn't have watched you right after LOST since it is also a heavy show. That may be part of this issue. Holy downer Ron and Brian. I know it's based on the movie, which had many trials and tribulations, but this is television. This show is not going to wrap up into a happy little bow at the end of 2 hours, but instead, it will go on and on and on for months depressing the crap out of people. I also recognized exact lines taken right from the movie...which I didn't care for either. You have had at least a decade since the movie came out, to come up with original scenes for a show BASED on the movie...not a show that IS the movie, but just based on. Depressing movie with a heart warming ending...the show however, just depressing so far. I'm sure you're working up to the heart warming ending, but people may just slit their wrists before you get to the end of the season...just sayin'.

Dear LOST part deux

Please don't fuck this up. I know you've been getting a lot of that lately, but I think it's for a reason. This season is not off to a good start. Again, flash sideways...I could care less about the characters in the flash sideways. Yes, they are the same actors, but they are not the characters I invested in 5 1/2 seasons ago. I just don't give a shit, that Jack has the same relationship with his all of a sudden son, that he had with his father. I don't care that Kate helped Claire, and that Ethan was the doctor. I do care about Ben being a teacher, but that is just because I love Michael Emerson. This season is barreling towards a finale, give us something...please. Yeah, I know, you've been answering questions.....FROM SEASON ONE THOUGH. There are a lot more season worth of questions to get to, and I don't see a time-line in which that can be achieved at the moment. Please don't make me regret wasting all this time on you. I really don't want to view you as an ex-boyfriend, but rather a dearly deceased relative.

Dear LOST

Thank you for an amazing start to the final season last night, but seriously...WTF?!?!?! Flash Sideways? What the hell is a Flash Sideways? Are they dead? Are they in an alternate universe? What the hell is going on? I have heard some die hard fans say they are too confused, and over it. I disagree...I'm not over it, but man am I confused!!! More confused than usual. Was Juliette in both places right before she died? And seriously...was it really necesary to kill her AGAIN?!?!? When Sayid was dead, was he in the LA X universe too? Is he Jacob? Who the fuck is the man in black, and why can he not be killed, but Jacob can? Why was Desmond on the plane, and why did he disappear? Where were Libby, Ana Lucia, and Eko, Michael and Walt in the plane shots? Why are there more others? Why does just a circle of ash keep the Man in Black away, is it special ash? Why? Why? Why? Why? That is all that is spinning in my head since 11pm last night. Why are you so cruel LOST? Why?

Dear American Idol

I have been watching you since the beginning. You've jumped the shark. Sorry. Here's the thing...you are now editing the show so ridiculously, that even the stupidest of sheep can figure out the formula of these auditions. Where the hell is the suspense? Gone...it's just gone. So, if I see you focusing on a potential singer, and I see B-roll of them at home or outside of the audition area, I know that they are going through to Hollywood before they even enter the audition room. Also, if there is any sort of sob story attached to the person being focused on, again, I know they are Hollywood bound. If I see B-roll of someone that is only shot in and around the area of the audition, I know that they are going to suck. Even a moron watching can figure this shit out. Thanks for taking the last shred of suspense from the show, that's totally what it needed to change things up.... it really makes me want to watch the show THAT MUCH MORE. Really.

Dear Lifetime Movie Network

Yesterday I watched Destination: Infestation. First....who named this movie? That's just first. Second, Third, and Fourth.....if I were on a plane, and found out that there were killer mutant ants holed up underneath the plane...yes I would be scared shitless.....however.....when I then found out that the 2 smartest people on the plane were Antonio Sabato Jr. and Jesssalyn Gislig, and they were the ones that could save us, I wouldn't be scared of the ants anymore. Thanks for some more great programming LMN.
